Hi, I’m Jaime.

Hypnotherapist ● Brain Changer ● Intuitive ● Comedian ● Speaker

I’ve been changing brains for over 20 years with science, intuition, and humour.

Get To Know Me!

A woman, Jaime Armstrong, with black hair, wearing a pink jacket and white top, holding and shuffling a stack of tarot cards against a plain white background.

I’m definitely not your traditional (insert any adjective here)…

I’m a Sagittarius sun sign, with a moon in Scorpio, and rising in Gemini. I love all things spiritual and tarot related, and I’m obsessed with dessert, which I always eat first! In fact, the best decision I ever made was not listening to my Kindergarten teacher, on the first day of school, when she told me you had to eat your cookie after your sandwich. It might have been then my inner rebel and knowing was first revealed!

Which makes sense, because if you’re into Human Design, I’m a Manifesting Generator, which means I’m not here to fit in and do things as expected. I’m here to create new pathways and not only am I doing that for your brain, I’m doing that for how we think of and experience mental health, ourselves, and each other.

I specialize in having brain-changing conversations for children, youth, and adults that teach you how to stress-proof and change your brain.

And since we’re not doing things how they’ve been done before, it’s important to know that I believe not everything is mental health. Sometimes it’s astrology, blocked intuition, your human design, conditioning of the world, moon and menstrual cycles. There’s so much science that explains so many things and making sure you know and apply this wisdom to what’s been troubling is how we change the brain! (And the world but let’s take it one step at a time, shall we?)

So, whether it be in session, during a reading, or on stage, each experience with me is designed to cause immediate and lasting change while using approaches and tools that are fast, fun, and effortless.

My Mission Is…

To revolutionize the way we think about and experience mental health.

To do things differently.

To change your brain.

I’m Known For

I love a good laugh and since we know humour is an effective way to change the brain, it only makes sense it’s involved in all we do! Plus I’m a trained Stand-Up Comedian!

Being Funny

If you knew how to get this stuff done, you would have done so already! That’s why I believe it’s my job to get it done and your only job is to show up!

Being Effective

Football

I go hard for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and am very superstitious! So during season you may just see me with my jersey on and eating all the treats! I also love to shit talk so we should find out which team you’re repping first 😉

Profanity

Sorry families and event organizers! It’s true. I curse during services. Never in a vulgar way! Just sometimes I talk about when you used to shit your pants, which always gets a giggle 😋

I am a dynamic storyteller! And since we know another way our brain changes is through stories, I share lots of them! It’s never the same session or event with me twice. So, are you ready to be entertained? 🤩

I’m Canadian born, US raised, now living in Canmore, Alberta. But I’m sure my lifelong history isn’t what you’re interested in!

So, here are the credentials you’re really looking for:

I have spent the last 20+ years as a Psychotherapist and have recently retired from the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario!

While I continue to hold an inactive license in the state of Florida as Licensed Mental Health Counsellor (LMHC), I no longer practice psychotherapy and retired my business April 2026.

I continue to specialize in brain-based and transformative therapeutic approaches with extensive training in Rapid Resolution Therapy®, Emotional Pain Intervention®, and Brain-Based Clinical Hypnosis.

l received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Clark University in Worcester, MA where I also remain in the top 5 all time fastest swimmers in several events for the Swim and Dive team. Go Cougars!

I then went on to receive my Masters of Arts degree in Counsellor Education, specializing in Mental Health, at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Go Bulls!

With more than 20 years in the mental health field, I have worked with a lifespan of ages and supervised clinicians in various settings such as day treatment, outpatient, residential, youth justice, schools, in home community services, athletic programs, and private practice.

I have also held roles within the business community as the President of the Midland & District Business Women’s Association and business mentor with the Small Business Centre of Barrie, Simcoe County, and Orillia, in their Starter Company Plus and Summer Company program.

After launching two live, and sold out shows in 2023, An Evening With My Therapist™, I began my formal training as a Stand-Up Comedian, Improver, and Storyteller at the Comedy Bar in Toronto, ON. Realizing how much fun it is to be on stage performing in Canada and the US, I created women’s advocacy groups and workshops using Improv activities to create an empowering space for women to lead, be bold, and breakthrough the invisible rules they didn’t know they had been living by.

I am proud to support and advocate for women and children, especially to empower them and eliminate intimate partner violence. That’s why you will find me using my platform to educate, support, and inspire!
